Description:
Meet Boomer! This little fella is so so cute! He is around a year old and just about 10 lbs. Sweet Boomer had a bit of a rough start in life and was rescued from a hoarding/breeding situation. He was very shy when he arrived with us but has blossomed in his foster home. He's ready for a forever home! Here is what his foster mom has to say about him: Boomer is the MOST adorable, snuggly, silly dog. He loves playing with other dogs, pouncing in the air on all fours in excitement. He will do best in a home with another calm, confident dog, who will want to play with him at times. He’s calm with cats, is potty trained and loves going for walks, though walks are only a recent experience for him. He melts when you hold him, snuggling right up. He does great in his crate but also does great sleeping on the bed with his family. He rarely barks. He’ll follow you everywhere, looking up at you with his big eyes. He does get nervous when you approach him from the front, and runs away to his safe space, his dog bed, before you can easily pick him up. We’ve worked with him and he’s gotten much better but this is the one area where his family will need to put in more time with him, training him to trust. In every other say he’s a perfect, sweet, fluffy love bug. We would like to see Boomer in a home without children, simply because he is still working on his confidence and has some trauma around being picked up or approached. He must have another dog in the home who can help him feel comfortable. He feels so much safer and social with another dog around. A secure fenced yard is required while he is still gaining confidence on the leash. Boomer is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
