She has a sweet, gentle heart and a playful personality. She is a heart-melter!10/6/25 Update From Foster Home: Her new world was overwhelming but with patience, gentle introductions, and of course treats, this shy girl is bursting out of her shell. She takes a lot of cues from other dogs and leans heavily on her foster brother's confidence as she learns the ins and outs of her new world. She has come amazingly far in just a couple of weeks. Brandy has learned that handling is not just safe but cuddles are now an absolute necessity, and is helping her learn furniture manners. The harness, as it turns out, is not scary but leads to fun adventures. We have also just mastered getting into the car and will start visiting the kennel to practice meeting adopters in the facility. Currently she is still very cautious about new things. People, places, and especially noises. However, she warms up quickly with patience and gentle encouragement. With the stranger in her foster home, she was wary until their first full day together. He ignored her and waited for her to ask for pets. The next day she was at the bedroom door when his alarm went off waiting for him. It's now part of her morning ritual. She shares toys well with her foster brother and they enjoy running with large toys together. She does need to be fed, and enjoy chews, separately from her dog housemates but is more than comfortable enjoying food items in her crate. She loves to play tag and wrestle with both people and dogs. She also loves to chase toys but hasn't figured out bringing it back yet.Brandy will do best in a home with another confident dog. She needs her own yard to run in and build confidence in as she adjusts to her new home. With puppy level supervision she has happily gone a week without a potty accident. Brandy will need a home without cats. She does well with dogs large and small. She is not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome as she does not walk well on leash as yet.If you'd like to sponsor Brandy until she finds her forever home, you can find more information here: https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND?
