Female Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Animal Profile: Sienna is a 8.5 month old female Lab/Cattle dog X (guessing) puppy who joined us, along with her siblings, from Texas on 3/14/25. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Sienna is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, she is friendly with dogs, cats and kids. Foster Update: Sienna is a one-year-old Lab/Husky mix with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. She can be shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people. Sienna is food-motivated (smart girl alert) and already has basic manners like sit, down, crate and potty training down pat. She walks beautifully on leash when she’s comfortable, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate with no accidents, and is always up for a game of fetch or a joyful toy romp in the yard. Sienna absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry canine friend. Once she feels safe, she is sweet, playful, and full of gentle affection. She is timid around men and will need time, consistency, and patience to build trust. She has been friendly with the children in her foster home, but due to her shy nature we are not considering homes with small children. Older teens may be considered. Sienna should not live with cats, as she has a strong prey drive and would be inclined to chase them. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and a resident dog. Breed experience is preferred. Apartments are not a good fit for Sienna at this time. Sienna is just waiting for the right family who will move at her pace and help her shine. Could that be you? Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.
