Female Dog, Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Description:

Animal Profile: Pepper is an estimated 4 month old female Parti Yorkie puppy that joined us from a local hoarding situation on 9/15/25. Foster Update: Pepper is a high-energy puppy who wants to PLAY! She loves toys — squeakers, balls, rope braids — anything she can chase and tug. She’s very good at retrieving and will bring whatever object you throw right back so you can throw it again (and again and again). Once she tires out, she likes to nap in your lap or right by your side. She cries when separated from people and has escaped her pen to climb into bed with a human more than once. She can jump onto any chair or bed, and you’d have a hard time convincing her not to do that if that’s what you want. She does fine with the resident dogs in the foster home and would be okay with a furry friend as long as your lap is big enough for two. She’d probably do fine with cats too; her foster family has a rabbit and rats, and Pepper has been curious but respectful. Pepper is exploring the world with her mouth and will need consistent reminders to be careful with her teeth and only bite toys (as opposed to fingers, shoes, socks or pant legs). She seems to be a quick learner, and is making progress with house training. Pepper has just been introduced to a leash and hasn’t quite got the hang of it. She can be timid in new surroundings and with new people, but once she comes out of her shell, she’s a Parti Yorkie! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner, Saving Great Animals in and arriving to our area foster care on 09/15. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.
