Animal Profile: Twas the week of Thanksgiving when the rescue phone rang. We were asked to help a local family facing eviction and accepted Buddy, Walter and Jovie into the rescue. Named after a favorite holiday film, Elf, these 11-week-old German Shepherd/Poodle pups are ready to spread some Christmas cheer to all far and near…well, at least to three lucky families! They are friendly, social, and were raised in a home with other dogs and children. We are excited to get to know them in foster care. Foster Update: If you are searching for a once in a lifetime best friend, Jovie is your girl. True to her namesake, she is as sweet as your favorite holiday cookie. Jovie is a quick learner and is progressing well with potty training. She does great with our two dogs, and wants to be wherever people are. Jovie LOVES children, and would be a great candidate for a family dog. Jovie is a little loud (more like the mom singing in Elf than Jovie herself), and because of this we are not considering apartments. Let’s make Jovie’s Christmas wish come true and find her a home for the holidays! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate.
