Animal Profile: Elsa is an estimated 9-month-old, 47 lb female Yellow Lab who was found as a stray in Turlock CA and taken to Tulock Animal Control; luckily, Turlock AC reached out to DGS for rescue placement. Elsa is very sweet and submissive. She is friendly and submissive (floppy) with other dogs. She will need leash training (has had no experience with one) but she is biddable and likes treats. Foster Update: Elsa is adjusting so well in foster care. She arrived clearly with no experience with a leash or living in a home. She's taking to crate and house training and we're making progress on the leash too. Most recently, she’s learning how to keep place at threshold's. In true puppy form she loves to romp and play with the resident dog and if allowed, she would get into everything but she's very sensitive and responsive to a simple and has made so much progress with respecting boundaries. She's very smart and positively excited by other dogs we see on walks; she's getting better about not trying to pounce on small animals, too! Elsa loves going on adventures and recently learned about the beach and water! She would love to be with an active family. Another dog in the house would be ideal as she loves to play. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.
