Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier (Short Coat)

Description:

Animal Profile: Dahlia is an estimated 2-year-old 42 lb spayed female pitbull mix with a horrible home ear crop job who was a stray intake to Minden animal control where she languished for months. She was assessd to be playful, energetic and dog friendly with males and females, despite her less than ideal shelter circumstances. Foster Update: Dahlia is a little bouncy love bug! She absolutely loves being around her people and snuggle up. Dahlia is great in her crate, sleeps quietly through the night. She loves all sorts of toys and is content playing on her own. Her fosters are helping her learn the ropes - but boundaries are something she will need ongoing training help with. She pulls a bit on her walks but otherwise she’s a happy gal trotting along and meeting passers-by. Dahlia rides well in the car and will be happy to go wherever you want take her. Dahlia gets along with other dogs and cats so she will be fine joining a family with other pets. We will continue to post updates as we get to know her better. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Dahlia was transferred Minden Animal Shelter in Louisiana and arrived to Seattle via Tail Lights Rescue Project on 3/23/25.
