NAME: TRUCK STOP BLUES LITTER: TRUCK STOP BLUES is part of the "NEWFOUND GLORY" litter and his Mother is "MONA LISA". AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 7.15.23), Male BREED: TERRIER MIX? While we have his mother, his father is unknown. Mother looks like a Chihuahua mix but she's over 20 lbs. TEMPERAMENT: Playful, silly, cuddly ESTIMATED ADULT WEIGHT: 20-30ish? lbs HOUSE TRAINING: Not yet! He is a baby so he'll need a consistent schedule with multiple opportunities daily to go outside while he works on it. CRATE TRAINING: Good, he's young and trainable! OTHER DOGS: Good! He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: TRUCK STOP BLUES is healthy! Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea-treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: TRUCK STOP BLUES is a fun little guy with a lot to give. Like any puppy, he's pretty playful and rambunctious but he's also got a soft side and likes to snuggle. We imagine he will think he's a lap dog even at his full grown size! Blue is a pretty outgoing dog who already knows how to climb over his playpen, so crate training will be important to keep him safe as he develops. He loves to play with toys and he enjoys being cuddled so you can do just about anything with him. It will be important to ensure he continues to socialize and get some obedience training and perhaps even daycare so he continues to grow into a happy, confident boy. As a private, volunteer home is involved we cannot accommodate same-day adoption meetings or surrenders. Approved applicants can meet and adopt at an event, but otherwise, an application is still required and must be approved before an animal can go home. Our goal is to find the right match for the animal in question, first- and therefore, to satisfy you by doing that, next. These decisions about compatibility are NOT personal- they are based 100% on the animal's needs. If an animal is deemed "not a good fit", this is not a rejection. Rather, you simply may not be a match for that animal- but when appropriate, we will suggest a different one that suits your needs and desires better. The animals are placed based on "best match" in the "timeliest manner"- not necessarily first come, first served. If two applications are equally appropriate, the one that came in first will be considered first. If an animal is online, it is available- however, this can change from the time you inquire for an application and submit it.
