Female Dog, Catahoula Leopard Dog

Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

++ REQUIRES ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME ++ NAME: Jane Challis (the last of our "Doom Patrol" group) AGE/GENDER: DOB 3.21.19; female TEMPERAMENT: Shy, sweet, silly, playful WEIGHT: 35 pounds HOUSE TRAINING: She is housetrained with a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. She eats and sleeps in her crate. OTHER DOGS: Jane would benefit from having another dog in the home to help build her confidence and be her playmate. Jane loves to be around other dogs. She loves to play with other dogs. She's extremely dog friendly. CATS: Jane would likely be best in a home without cats. She does have a prey drive. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $550 HEALTH: Jane is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental costs of care. HISTORY: Jane came to us from a rescue in Hawaii. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Jane is a sweet girl who is quite shy. She loves being out in the yard and playing with the dogs in her foster home. Once inside, she feels most comfortable lying next to another dog. When we first got her, she hid in the crate and didn't really want a lot of human attention. But now shewill lie next to you and on the bed. She will need a home with another dog so she can keep building her confidence. She is leash trained and has basic obedience training. This training has opened up her up to including more people in her life. Where she was once running away from people, too shy to be touched, she's come to love training and being with a multitude of people who give her treats. She's extremely food motivated. And she's very sweet and loves to be pet. She's a funny little girl. She loves to zoom around the yard. Her favorite thing is to be chased by her dog friends who have yet to catch her. She is fast! She will instigate play with the other dogs. And she loves to run! She has a very athletic build. Even though she's small, she's quite muscular and would make someone an excellent running partner. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes (or partnering pet stores) where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing and same day adoption. Due to the volunteer run structure and decentralized/ virtual nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email [email protected] and request an adoption application (the auto-responder also has a link to our application). We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare" in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Thanks for considering adoption- we look forward to helping you find your best match in a furry friend. Rock on- The Motley Zoo Crew
