BELLA - 4 years old, 60 pounds, house trained, good with older children, protective over her family and yard Bella is a new resident at VBACAC. She had lived with her family her whole life. She's house trained, protective and loving. She loved the 4 children she lived with in the home as well. She is very nervous and hesitant, cautious of everything going on around her in this unfamiliar shelter environment. We are giving her time to settle in, time to get to know us, time to adjust. When she is comfortable, we are told she listens to commands and loves to cuddle. She's playful, energetic, and crate trained but can also be trusted roaming free in the house. She even enjoys sleeping in her open crate. Bella will shred some toys and she might have an accident in the home if she's not walked in time. Speaking of walks, Bella is great walking on a leash and enjoys going for walks. She has escaped her previous yard many times. We're looking for a family with a secure fence where she cannot escape. Bella is territorial of her home/family and needs to be the only pet. Bella is currently in a back kennel so if you come to meet her and don't see her, please just ask.
