Meet Milo: A Gentle Soul Ready for His Second Chance Milo’s early life was all about survival. Likely a discarded hunting dog, he was found as a stray with little exposure to the comforts most pups enjoy. But since arriving at The Furever Project and settling into foster care, Milo has blossomed — learning the joy of soft beds, toys, and human kindness. He’s shy at first, but once you’ve earned his trust, Milo becomes a devoted companion — the kind who sticks close and loves deeply. He thrives with other dogs, especially confident ones who help him feel secure in new situations. Loud noises can still rattle him, but he’s much braver with a buddy by his side. Milo is wonderful with children, gentle in nature, and shows no signs of a strong prey drive. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, knows “sit,” and is highly treat-motivated — making training a breeze. He’s also a fan of car rides, happily soaking up the breeze with his nose out the window. This resilient boy has just completed heartworm treatment. While he’s still healing, TFP will cover remaining medical costs until he’s fully cleared. Milo is available under a foster-to-adopt contract and is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to grow and thrive. NOTE: Dog Breed Information.
