Male Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier

American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Meet Buster! This handsome young bully boy is as sweet as they come and a naturally social pup. He was rescued from a local county shelter, where his standout doggy social skills caught the attention of one of our amazing foster moms, Laine, who stepped up to bring him safely into rescue. Buster is now living with Laine, Gary, and their pack of three pups, and he’s fit right in! He’s great with other dogs, loves to play, shares toys nicely, and is a big fan of tug-of-war. Laine describes him as a happy-go-lucky, affectionate boy with an exceptionally soft, silky coat. He already knows sit and shake, and has great leash skills. Buster is housetrained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on leash, both solo and as part of a pack. Laine has also started taking him out on errands and to the pet store to test his social skills, and he’s met everyone with a wag and a smile. He thinks everyone’s a friend and takes city life in stride, unbothered by leaf blowers, traffic, or fire trucks. The only things they’re working on are his excitement jumps and occasional mouthiness, which is pretty typical young dog behavior, but for that reason, he’d do best in a home with kids out of the toddler stage. Buster will make an excellent pack companion and family dog, and is ready to start his new life! Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster and want to learn more, please go to https://foster.worthydog.org and fill out an application.
