Great Dane / Shepherd / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Buddy is a Great Dane mix, possibly some Shepherd in the breed mix. He is 8 years old (DOB: 11/20/2016). Buddy was an owner surrender to Amarillo SPCA about 7 years ago. With the 50 to 54 medium and large dogs we continually seem to have at the shelter, Buddy is often overlooked when people visit, looking for a dog. Buddy is good with other dogs; however, he prefers being around female dogs, and stays clear of the male dogs. As far as people are concerned, he seems to prefer women, once he warms up to them. Buddy is a big, shy boy who probably needs a calm environment, with no small children, and no stressful situations or surroundings. Once comfortable with you, he's a good boy and likes to cuddle up. Being a large dog Buddy does need space. If interested in giving Buddy his 'forever' home, our shelter location: 11901 S. Coulter.
