Meet Koopa! Koopa is a 7.5-year-old mixed breed with a heart of gold and about 60 lbs of sweetness. This gentle guy may be a little cautious at first, but once he gets to know you, he’ll light up with happiness every time he sees you!Koopa's owner was arrested and extradited to another state, leaving no other choice but for him to end up at the shelter. He had been at the shelter since early December 2024 waiting for a home.Koopa loves his walks and is always up for an outdoor adventure—his curious nature means he enjoys exploring and taking in the world around him. He’s house-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night, making him an easy companion at home. Koopa also knows some commands—he’ll sit nicely and offer both paws like a true gentleman.While he eats in his crate, he’s not too fond of staying in there for long periods. He’d much rather be by your side, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Koopa gets along well with other dogs (even small ones!) and is also cat-friendly.With his sweet personality and gentle nature, Koopa is ready to find a forever home where he can feel safe and loved.
