Delilah is an adorable, 17 lb. 7 year old cairn terrier who is looking to find her forever someone to love and cherish her the rest of her days. Delilah's life up until now has been all about work - she came from a backyard breeder, and was pregnant when she came into rescue. She was a wonderful mom to her pups, who have all been adopted, but is ready to retire to the life of a family dog. Because she is new to this, she is looking for a home with a confident dog buddy to help her adjust to family life, a fenced yard where she can explore and get comfortable being outside, and a patient, gentle hand to guide her. She will need an adopter that is willing to continue to work on her confidence and on outdoor potty training. She may not have ever been outside in her previous life and does well using pee pads. She is good with the other dogs in her foster home, pays no mind to the cats, and would do well with respectful children.
