Female Dog,

Unknown Breed (Short Coat)

Description:

Gucci Girl may sound designer, but her version of the finer things in life includes; pets and attention, meals, treats, her strolls outside, tug or a game of fetch, and a nap to top it all off. She is described as "a dream dog," and is an easygoing senior with a heart full of gold, and eyes full of sweetness and soul. And lots of pep left in her step, watch her go here! Gucci Girl was surrendered to the city shelter after her previous family moved out of state, and arrived at PAWS shortly after. She stayed long enough to take some beautiful head shots (featuring her sad puppy eyes, worthy of Sarah McLachlan playing in the background—scroll to see for yourself) and headed into foster care where she has been her loving and spunky self ever since. She is a lover of all people and has proven that no matter the age of the person, her need for snuggles and pets know no bounds. In her previous home and in foster care she has done well living with other dogs after a slow introduction, and she is seeking a home without cats. Gucci Girl is also looking for a home to spend the rest of her golden years in where she won't have to climb too many stairs, due to her arthritis. She still greatly enjoys her walks and short strolls outside to see the sights and smell all of the smells, and maintains lots of enthusiasm when seeing other dogs out and about. She is generally easily redirected from pulling, but may need some extra encouragement on walks to keep things moving, and won't hesitate to accept a yummy treat. To add to her wealth of knowledge, Gucci Girl knows "sit," is housebroken, and generally very well-behaved at home. She can be a bit barky at times when she is looking to let you know that she needs to go outside, or when she's hyping you up while preparing breakfast or dinner, but is generally quiet and low-key. When it comes time for some beloved comfort or sleep during the day or night, Gucci Girl is not picky about placement and will happily enjoy a crate, couch, dog bed, or your bed—if you'll have her. She will lean in and flop herself wherever you are at any time of day for some loving and belly rubs, and promises that you'll never be able to imagine your life without her in it once she's left her standard always-amazing Gucci Girl impression!
