Description:

Meet Texas Pete — and no, he’s not the hot sauce… he’s the sweet sauce. With a name like Texas Pete, you might expect five-alarm fire — but this 6-8-year-old gentleman is all honey, no heat. If anything, he’s more maple syrup than hot sauce… rich, warm, and impossible not to love. Pete may share a name with the famous bottle of Texas Pete, but trust us — this boy is pure sweetness. The only thing spicy about him is how fast he’ll steal your heart. After years of neglect in Georgia, Pete arrived thin, tired, and overlooked simply because of his gray-and-white coat. But like any good sauce, he just needed time to simmer. And now? Chef’s kiss. At a healthy 80 pounds, heartworm-free, and thriving in foster care, Texas Pete has completed his glow-up. His soulful eyes tell a story of resilience, but his wagging tail tells you everything you really need to know — he’s grateful, joyful, and ready to pour his sweetness all over a forever family. He’s great with dogs and kids (though he may serve up an enthusiastic hug or two — consider it extra flavor). Cats aren’t on his menu, but everything else is fair game. House trained Crate trained Neutered & up to date on vaccines Excellent car rider He handled his long trip north to Harrisburg, PA like a true southern gentleman — calm, patient, and smooth the whole way. And don’t let his age fool you — Pete still has that playful kick, especially when toys are involved. Toss a ball and you’ll see the puppy pop right out. That’s the only kind of “kick” he brings! Texas Pete has just one resolution this year: to find a home where he can be the sweet sauce to someone’s life — the steady comfort, the loyal companion, the unconditional love that makes everything better. So if you’re craving sweetness (not spice), Pete is ready to be your main ingredient.
