Male Dog, Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Hello! My name is Guiness. My journey to the shelter was a scary one; I was found abandoned in the woods, so terrified I wouldn't even walk. When I got to the shelter, I was still so confused. How did I get here again? Why am I here? Who are all these people? I found one shelter friend first, then another, then another. I slowly began trusting the staff and they introduced me to some cool canine friends too. I am currently looking for a forever family who can understand where I came from, and dream with me for where I can someday be: the happiest dog who forgot all about the shelter. What the staff say about me:`Guiness is a special boy. It is pretty incredible to see photos and videos of when he first arrived, frozen and hunkered down. He did not know what to do with people paying him any kind of attention. He has had a rough life, we can tell, but he is still so full of life too! Guiness has the best zoomies, the funniest quirks, and the most beautiful face. He loves to be brushed, go on walks, and play in the sunshine. He needs someone who has been around fearful dogs before, who knows how to give him the best kind of unconditional love: patience. Guiness will always be Guiness, but we hope to see him continue coming out of his shell more and more.`*** I am currently in a foster home. Please call to schedule an appointment to meet me***If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
