Description:
HOSPICE (no cost) ADOPTIONWe are looking for someone who is willing to love Archie for whatever time he has left (could be weeks, months or years). We will be picky and not 'give him away' to just anyone. We are not looking for someone who wants a 'free dog', we are looking for an angel on earth.Archie is approximately 10 years old and was found as a stray. He’s a sweetheart, who loves to be cuddled up next to you or at your feet 24/7. Although he loves attention he also does great being alone whenever you’re not home. He has been working on his house training, and has been doing great, and will usually wait throughout the night to go outside. Archie loves pup cups, bones, and cuddling with his stuffed animals. He does great with dogs and cats, and even tries to occasionally play with dogs in foster home. But most of the time he’d prefer to be cuddled up on his bed taking a nap. He’s very laidback and calm, until you start making his breakfast or dinner, then he starts jumping around like he’s a puppy again. Here is the rundown of known medical challenges for Archie. He has an old injuy which causes him to limp, but does not cause pain. He also has bad arthitis so we recommend a quiet household without young children for Archie. We believe Arhcie is having touble seeing things far away which makes descending stairs difficult (going up is less of an issue) so a single story home would be perfect for him. Archie is on a special diet for kidney disease. Lastly, Archie has a mass on his back hip. Our vet has is not able to determine what it is without surgery and feels that at his age surgery would be too risky for Archie. If you open your heart and home to Archie, he will fill both with his love and companionship. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!
