Buddy is a one-of-a-kind, fantastic dog who’s ready to find a loving family to call his own. He’s affectionate, cuddly, and full of energy, making him a wonderful companion for active households. Whether it’s a fun walk in the park or a car ride adventure, Buddy is eager to please and enjoys being by your side. Buddy gets along well with calm, submissive dogs and enjoys playful, gentle tussles—he especially loves playing chase with his foster family’s German Shepherd. He’s selective with his dog friends, so a slow, thoughtful introduction to other pets is best. Buddy is good with smaller dogs and cats, especially those who are confident and calm. This smart boy is potty trained and has good leash manners with little pulling or jumping. He’s treat-motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. While he may take some time to trust new people, once he does, he’s all about cuddles and affection — just give him a few days to settle in and you’ll see his sweet side come out.
