Male Dog, Beagle

Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Roscoe is a 9 yr old, 11 lb, tri-colored Beagle/Dachshund mix. He gets along beautifully with other small dogs and enjoys playing with plush toys. Roscoe has the gentle temperament of a Beagle along with some Dachshund traits — he is curious, lively, charming, brave, stubborn, demands to be in on everything, and believes snuggling and sleeping under the bedcovers is in his bill of rights. Roscoe is friendly and affectionate with people. Roscoe could be an only dog or have another small dog (under 20 lbs) in the home. Roscoe is smart, quick and looks for every opportunity to shoot out an open door, so his adoptive family needs to be prepared to manage a quick and determined little dog. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1 1/2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door which opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $450
