Description:
Location: Pembroke, MA. Sadie *Disclaimer puppies are currently ONLY 6 weeks old and will not be going to new homes until they are at LEAST 8 weeks old* These puppies have had quite the journey at just 6 weeks old. Mom Penelope was found as a stray in Alabama. She was found hanging around a Dollar General heavily pregnant. Before we could get her into the rescue she went MIA and we all thought the worst until she turned up a few days later no longer pregnant. She had tucked herself under the crawl space of an abandoned home and gave birth to four beautiful puppies three girls and one boy. Thankfully this story has a happy ending, and hopefully you can make it even happier by opening your home to one of these beautiful pups! Say hello to Penelope’s puppies! There are four of them - Ruby (f, black/ white/ tan with the white around her mouth), Isla (f, black/ white/ tan no white around mouth), Sadie (f, the fluffiest and biggest merle), Hayes (m, the gray merle with the blue eye). While we do not currently know what they are mixed with, we will find out soon as an embark DNA test was performed we will update once we have the results. What we do know is mom is a cattle dog and dad was something big! At five weeks the biggest of the litter was already over 12lbs. Sadie is the biggest and fluffiest of the litter. At 5 weeks old she weighed in at just over 12lbs. Out of the litter she falls in the middle. She is confident, and kinda goofy. She is one of the first ones to come up and greet you and also the first one to venture off and entertain herself. Sadie is the most vocal out of the litter. Sadie is pretty chill, she would do well in a moderately / relaxed energy home. As a puppy she loves to play but she is also the first one to go off and lay down and relax. She loves to explore the world. Tug on toys, chase balls, climb surfaces, and always come back to people for cuddles. She is working on her stair climbing skills, and we are starting crate and potty training. She has been exposed to children, other dogs, and cats. By the time of adoption, they will have been dewormed three times, received their first round of vaccinations, and been microchipped. They will go out on a spay/neuter contract. We do not know for sure when they were born so we are going by when they were found as their birthday which was December 12th and will be 8 weeks old and available to go to their new homes the week of February 9th.
