To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Sophie is an 18 month old female English Setter mix who was rescued after she was surrendered by her owner to the Memphis Animal Shelter. Sweet, friendly, well-socialized. Sophie is a little bit tentative with new people and situations but she LOVES her foster family and is gaining more confidence every day. Fine with other dogs and living comfortably with 2 other dogs in her foster home. Not yet cat tested. No known history with kids but it’s felt that Sophie would be good with dog-savvy children 12 years and older. She’s crate trained and housebroken. Good house manners. Medium-high energy level outside, settles down quickly in the house. Leash training continues. Rides well in the car. Loves to be with her people. DOB estimated 4-1-24. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 45 pounds. Sophie’s ideal adopter will have the time and patience for an energetic young dog and the ability to continue Sophie’s socialization and obedience training. This is an AWESOME young setter mix who will make a great companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who loves the breed.
