Female Dog, German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog (Medium Coat)

Description:

Sadie’s ears might be the first thing that catches your eye when you see her for the first time. It looks a little bit like they’re too big for her, or that she’s still growing into them. However, Sadie is just over a year old, so she’s likely about full grown at 60 pounds. She seems to have also outgrown the puppy stage because she has a very calm energy and demeanor. She’s very smart and seems to truly enjoy learning new things. She is a master at “sit”, “down”, “touch”, and is even working on “play dead”. New things come very easily to her, and she is a people-pleaser, which will make it very easy for her adopters to get her used to her forever home and continue her training. One of the cutest things she does is to collect all her toys on her blanket. She happily chases any toy that’s available, then prances back to her blanket to lay down and give it a chew. Other dogs make Sadie anxious, so she would much prefer to be the only dog in the home. That also means that she won’t like dog parks or the dog beach, but she loves going on hikes or walks. She recently went out on a field trip and had the best time. She enjoyed exploring a new place and meeting some new friends. She does really well in the car- she lays down and dozes off until you reach your destination. Sadie will probably prefer a quieter home with not a whole lot of activity. She bonds very quickly with people, so she is likely to get attached to her new family and be the most loyal companion! With a little patience and a lot of love, this sweet and sensitive girl will be your BFF! Sadie is available for a 10-day adoption trial, where an adopter can make sure that she’s a good fit for their home. One of her fans at the shelter has sponsored her adoption, so her adoption is free!
