Description:
Sonata S is a joyful, 1 year old, 60 lb female who happily greets new people with soft eye contact and a tail wag. She is very social and allows all handling with ease. She’s engaging, cuddly, and playful, and loves for you to play with her. Fetching the ball is a favorite game. When playing alone, she likes to throw her toy in the air and catch it. She enjoyed running and playing with other dogs in play groups at the shelter. Sonata has not exhibited much of a prey drive and may be cat workable. When we walked her by cats, she didn’t have much interest in them and was easily distracted with a cookie. Her foster mom took her to the barn and said she was good around the horses and other farm animals. Sonata doesn't nuisance bark, however will occasionally alarm bark. She is working on Off, Come, Find, Wait, Stay, and Over (directing her to jump over something). Crate training is coming along well. What the foster likes most about Sonata is that she is a very happy dog who likes to participate in activities but can settle down with a chew toy when inside. Sonata loves to chew so she will need lots of toys to keep her out of mischief until she learns what is and isn’t appropriate. Sonata S is a Level 2 dog.
