Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)
Description:
FIV+Birthday: December 19, 2021 Something about the "tough guy" act with kitties are always endearing. As soon as they open up to you, they become the BIGGEST lover boys! The same can be said about Thomas. He was an ex-tom cat who was actually rescued by another rescue. He used to own the streets he lived on, taking on any fighter who dared to challenge him and building up scars from every battle. He developed a cloudy eye and contracted FIV+. The primary means of transmission for the virus is through bite wounds from an infected cat. Sharing water bowls or grooming is not an efficient way for it to spread, so as long as there's non-aggressive contact, no other kitty will be infected! Despite the rough start, Thomas is a real sugar pie! He's loving in the indoor lifestyle and adores people relentlessly! He's the sweetest, gentlest lovebug you'd ever meet, and with those big tom cat cheeks, it's hard not to want to nuzzle next to them! Initially, he was shy around people, but that quickly wore off once he became comfortable with them! After all, humans give the best pets and snuggles! He'll happily share the bed or couch with you, and while he's not a fan of being picked up, he'll only fuss for a little bit to be put back down. And wouldn't you know it? This boy is as smart as they come! He actually knows the command "sit!" Well, maybe only for snacks, but it's still impressive! He loves to play with toys tied to strings, playing with them for quite a long time! He's grateful for his second chance at life, and he can't wait to spend the rest of it with a loving family inside their home! Thomas' adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
