Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love RescueMeow meet Ginger! She is a gorgeous senior calico girl with a quiet, gentle personality and a story that makes her all the more special. She was one of a few cats who survived a shelter fire. We don’t know much about her life before the shelter, but we do know that she suddenly lost the familiar world she knew and has a lot of changes to adjust to. Ginger is understandably a little skittish and shy when she meets someone new, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality starts to peak through. She’s quiet and mellow, enjoys gentle pets, and has a playful side that comes out when the laser pointer makes an appearance! She does well with other cats, and though she has had exposure to dogs, a slow introduction with a calm K9 friend would be needed. She would love a quiet, calm home with a patient adopter who understands that she may take a little time to warm up. A peaceful home without children where someone is looking for a quiet companion or a senior looking for a feline friend to keep them company would be a wonderful fit. Ginger may take some time to show you her heart, but when she does, you’ll discover a wonderfully sweet girl who has so much more life and love left to give. After all she’s been through, she deserves the simple things every cat should have - a peaceful home, a soft place to nap, someone to love her, and the chance to finally feel like she belongs. Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
