Description:

Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.Hello human. Thank you for taking the time to read over my bio. I am CARA's longest cat resident. The reason I have been at the rescue for over a year, is because I had a rough start at life. Basically, CARA got a call about a momma and kittens that were stuck in a storm drain next to an EXTREMELY busy highway. They rushed to the location, and spotted me and my litter of adorable black and white kittens. It took hours but eventually I was trapped! I was taken to the rescue to decompress, after which they found out I was pretty feral, and was FIV +. Then just my luck I got ringworm :( I was not handleable at all, so I had such a long recover process, but finally overcame the ringworm infection. I am totally cleared now. Because I was feral, I had to stay in a small kennel for such a long time, then miraculously a friend of the rescue offered to foster me!!!!! YAY!!!! My prayers were answered, finally I was going to be given a true chance at a good life! Over the last 6 months, my foster mom has made me feel completely comfortable and trusting of her. She made sure my environment was calm, and sweet. Now I let her pet me, brush me, and give me cuddles. I am still working on being held, but I know I will get there. I am adoptable to a home that is more than willing and able to help me continue on my path of trusting humans!!! My foster mom welcomes, an approved applicant to visit me at her home! I can't wait to meet you!!! * Special information regarding adopting Cats and Kittens* Our adoption fees are: * Altered cats $ 95 * Kittens under 6 months who have not been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $70 plus S/N Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption Our policy is that all adopted animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving the premises. If at any time an animal under the age of 6 months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter agrees to have the animal being adopted spayed/neutered by a veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter contract. If you would like to adopt me or any of my friends, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at [email protected]. Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
