Dec. 14, 2025 Yesterday I received several phone calls & emails about a kitten at animal control. Many Rescue groups had been called & all were full. I do not normally pull from animal control because I have such a waiting list of cats needing rescue right here in Hampstead. It looked like this kitten was doomed, so I agreed to take it & put it in the only space I had: the small people bathroom at FURR. Kristy, a FURR Volunteer, drove to the animal control (which was out of town for me & a little closer to her) and she got the kitten. I met her & picked it up. Well, low & behold, it’s just about the cutest darn thing ive ever seen & just as sweet. At only 8 weeks old, i was amazed at her happy ways!?? The kitten, named LILAC, stayed at FURR last night. Thanks to Laura & Jim, the kitten now has an amazing foster home. I was quite hesitant about handing this tiny, “purrfect” baby over. Just seeing this kitten you’re smitten!
