REDUCED ADOPTION FEE OF $50! Skye Thea is a great companion! She likes human company & will cry for it if she is lonely. She will come for petting & then settle in close to you. She has adapted to a separation from a long time brother & quickly made progress towards being a lone cat in a home. However it will take time to earn her trust. She doesn't like being picked up or captured. When I first got her, you couldn't even get close without her darting away. Within a couple of days, she was coming for petting & attention. Within a week, she was starting to play & coming to settle & sleep on the couch next to me. She loves bird & squirrel watching, has good eating & litter box habits & has free run of my home which she has explored but not damaged or at all abused. If you do a meet & greet with Skye, you may not find her receptive or friendly because she is uncomfortable in an unfamiliar environment, but after I got her home & gave her time & space to approach on her own terms, she adapted quickly. She may not be cuddly, clingy but she is a wonderful companion & I expect may develop in ways yet unseen.Skye Thea is waiting to meet you in her foster home so apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
