Female Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair

Description:

Paris is a sweet and quirky kitty who didn't have the best beginnings of life. If you approach too quickly, she might hiss, but she doesn't mean anything by it, you just startled her. Once you pet her, she can't get enough loving. She has a bit of a cloudy eye from an old scratch or infection that never fully healed and doesn't seem to have the best vision...maybe a bit cloudy. She has a bit of a head tilt, likely from an old ear infection that went untreated for too long before she had a caregiver/owner. She has her tongue hanging out from time to time. She also has flare ups of the sniffles, most likely from the feline herpes virus, so keeping her immune system strong will be important for her new owner. We recently took in Charlie, Fancy, Fiona, Paris, Mama Ember and Lovie from another rescue org. Sadly, the organization's beloved founder passed away a few months ago and left behind her beloved cats. These kitties are rather shell-shocked right now, but all are sweet and friendly. Our intention now is to find them amazing homes to honor her legacy of dedication to saving cats in Western North Carolina. These kitties have been INDOOR ONLY and we would like to honor that preference for their beloved owner. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. Meet Paris by applying to adopt to schedule a meet and greet or meet her at our PetSmart adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, Bleachery Blvd. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
