Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair
Domestic Short Hair
Description:
This boy loves people and likes to give hugs by putting his front paws on your shoulders and squishing his face into yours. He is extremely affectionate and very silly. He loves to play too. He didn't seem happy about dogs when he first arrived at his foster space (a dog grooming salon), but within a week, he settled in and despite the occassional sneak up behind a dog for a slap, he has been fine. In his Fern weather foster home he did well with the resident dog. He would probably be okay with a calm dog in the home. He does nip when he doesn't like being contained. That seems to settle down once he has his freedom but pickup when he wants to play and he may tell you no with a nip. He needs to learn from his people with a firm "NO" when that happens so he doesn't continue thinking that is okay. Meet Brooks by completing the adoption application or by visiting her during our weekly adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, at PetSmart, Bleachery Bvd. Get $50 off a pair of kittens. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventatives. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
