Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair

Description:

Lively play time guaranteed with Asher! Here is a confident, friendly and energetic house cat. With an abundance of kitten energy, this fellow adjusts quickly and will be exploring his forever home within minutes of arrival. Asher likes to hang out around his humans and needs plenty of physical stimulation through the day. Several rounds of feather wand toy leaping and chasing can absorb some of that energy. He can be a little rough playing with people and is still learning appropriate limits, though his intentions are entirely benign. He might not be best with toddlers and very young children due to his bitey tendencies when he is super playful. He has behaviors typical of a kitten raised as a singleton and would do well with slow introductions to another friendly and confident cat and an owner that will continue working with him that toys are to bite, not hands. He doesn't bite hard but he still has sharp teeth. He is a very tidy litter-box user. Loves to curl up on top of the bed with you at night. Asher is sure to bring great quantities of laughter and love in the appropriate forever home.Asher is in a foster home but is ready for adoption, so complete the adoption application and a meet and greet can be scheduled. Otherwise, he will be attending our adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, at PetSmart, Bleachery Bvld. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee for a pair of kittens (under 1 yr of age). All cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
