Description:
SPECIAL NEEDS: Abilene is gentle and will turn into a beautiful cat. Abilene, with her speckled coat, was the tiniest kitten of her litter, and she struggled to survive and to keep up with her bigger siblings. When I first saw her she looked like a little duck, with her big belly and short legs. But she‘s had the will to make it - you can see that in the calm confidence of her pictures. This little girl has the will to live. Now she’s even catching up to her big brother Aragon and after finally overcoming her health issues, she is ready for her forever family! Abilene and Aragon have had ongoing URI (upper respiratory symptoms) that can flare up when they are stressed so their adopters will need to understand that and be prepared for more frequent vet visits and to do the things needed to keep their environment low stress and controlled. Meet Abilene and Aragon by completing our adoption application online. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
