Description:

Meet Katniss Katniss is one of the most gentle, sweetest little beans you could ever meet. This stunning blue-eyed girl has unfortunately been a bit overlooked simply because she’s on the shy side. Katniss isn’t the kind of cat who will run up and rub on your leg right away. Instead, she prefers to sit back and carefully monitor your behavior before deciding if you’re worthy of her friendship… and honestly, can you blame her? Some people aren’t for us either.Once Katniss has approved of you and your life choices, you’ll see a completely different side of her. She’ll happily climb into your lap for pets, eagerly accept treats from you, and settle in to watch her favorite pastime—cat TV.Katniss will need an adopter who understands that moving into a new home can be a big adjustment for a sensitive girl like her. She will need some time to decompress and acclimate, but with a little patience she will blossom into the loving companion we know she is.In the opinion of some of our techs, this sweet girl is just as deserving—if not more deserving—of a loving, perfect home that will treat her like the princess she truly is.Katniss does well with other cats and is currently staying in our office kennels where things are a little quieter and help her feel safer in our noisy building… at least that’s what we tell people. The truth is we enjoy her company and her silent judgement of the humans passing by.If you’re looking for a gentle, thoughtful companion and are willing to give her the time she deserves, Katniss just might be your girl.Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. The adoption fee may be higher or lower than stated however, and is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run discount specials and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee. Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an "Adopt one, bring another one home for free" adoption special!
