Male Cat, Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair (Short Coat)

Description:

When Phoenix was just a young fella, a good samaritan witnessed him being hit by a car. He had extensive injuries to his back end that required surgery but he rebounded quickly. Since that injury in 2021 Phoenix remains a fully mobile and active cat that can jump, climb, and play with ease, however he doesn't have full control of his bowels. With a consistent diet he has maintained small firm stools that will sometimes land outside of the litter box. He is fully litter box trained otherwise. He likes to play but would much rather be cuddled up, hanging out with his human. He will take all the loves and pets he can get. Phoenix has done okay with other calm, laid back cats who match his energy, but is not a huge fan of overly playful young kitties. He would also do well in a home as an only pet. He has not yet been dog tested. Phoenix's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and a FeLV/FIV test. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. The adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. If you are interested in meeting Phoenix please fill out an application on our website at www.adopthope.org.
