Domestic Short Hair (Medium Coat)
Description:
Meet Yoshee, the senior dilute calico. Yoshee arrived to the Shelter after someone left her at the local post office. Yoshee has been a sweet gal, despite her kind of stressful events prior to the Shelter. Volunteers have described Yoshee as calm, quiet, and gentle. She enjoys being brushed, getting pets and having some treats. In exchange, she gives purrs! Yoshee would thrive as an indoor kitty in her adoptive home to help keep her safe (as well as our local wildlife). Our veterinary staff did determine that Yoshee has moderate dental calculus, gingivitis and some fractures to her teeth. Her adopter would need to follow up with a dental specialist after adoption to schedule a dental procedure. Adopters should also be mindful that older animals do need more frequent vet visits to keep them healthy as they age. Yosheeâs adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to Shelleyâs Angels â a fund that draws adopterâs eyes towards often overlooked senior cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
