Description:
Meet Pinocchio, the black and white bicolor kitty! Pinocchio came to the Shelter as a stray who was found on a property. Staff observed that Pinocchio has been a shy guy since his arrival at the Shelter. Pinocchio does have a history of living outdoors and being around other felines. To help keep him safe (as well as our local wildlife), we would encourage adopters to keep him indoors OR consider a slow, supervised acclimation to the outdoors after about a month of acquainting to the new home. Pinocchio may do well in a home with other animals provided there is a a slow, thoughtful introduction. If you are looking for a kitty to blossom in purr-sonality in your home â come meet Pinocchio today!Pinocchioâs adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund â a fund that draws adopterâs eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
