Meet Ohtani! This cat came into the Shelter as a stray but has clearly had socialization prior to her entry to the Shelter. Staff have observed she is very friendly â approaches for pets & scratches while purring the whole time. Ohtani came into the Shelter as a single cat but has been coexisting nicely with other cats since her arrival at the Shelter. A home with another cat (paired with a slow, thoughtful introduction may be a fit) in her next home. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
