Description:
Meet Merriweather, the sweet as pie Siamese! This (former) mama cat came into the Shelter as a stray. She was initially unsure but has slowly, but surely warmed up to staff and volunteers. Merriweather may do well with other cats in her next home provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction. Although she has some experience being outdoors, Merriweatherâs light coloration will make her more at risk to predators so she would be best suited as primarily indoors and potentially with some access to a safe, enriching catio space in her next home. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
