She grew up surrounded by love and care from six amazing mom cats - her mom, aunts, and cousins - all working together to raise their big, happy family at a homeless encampment. At just 2 months old, Basil and her sister Thyme found their way into a wonderful foster home, where they’ve been growing up with their cousins, Cheese and Beans. Basil is a beautiful little soul who enjoys life in her own quiet way. She’s independent, thoughtful, and happiest when she gets to do things on her own terms. Her favorite games include batting toy mice around and - true to her kitten heart - exploring boxes of every shape and size. She can entertain herself for hours this way! Basil isn’t one to seek out the spotlight, but when she feels comfortable, she shows her soft side - relaxing on a cat tree, offering slow blinks, and accepting gentle pets with calm confidence. A quiet, peaceful home will be the best fit for Basil, where she can blossom at her own pace and feel truly safe. She could be adopted with her sister Thyme, or she could thrive in a home with another friendly young cat - or even as a cherished only kitty where her unique personality can shine.
