Female Cat, Domestic Medium Hair

Domestic Medium Hair (Medium Coat)

Description:

Fiona is one-half of the Irish twins (along with her sister Liona). They had a really rough start in life -- found as kittens living under a dumpster in a carport, covered in mange. Someone initially tried to take them in when they were a few months old, but could only catch Fiona. A SNM volunteer overheard the tale at the vet, and the fate of Liona, and offered to help catch her -- we later learned that when the person found out that Fiona had mange, she put her back out on the street (btw -- mange is EASY to treat!). Our volunteer was haunted by these beauties and set out to save them -- and thanks to her dedication and determination she did :) Given that they were a bit older when they were caught, initially, it took quite a bit of work for them to understand that we only wanted to help. Another volunteer felt an immediate connection and made it her mission to show them they were safe, bringing them into her home to socialize by working each day to show them love and comfort. And they get better each day! These girls will surely bless the lives of whoever gives them their forever home. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cr4IxaRLn9H/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Fiona is the braver of the two. She is always first to show her sister that a room, toy, or person is okay (and even fun!). Fiona has never met a toy she doesn't like but is particularly excited by wands of any kind. If it has streamers, feathers, or any toy critter on the end, she is into it. She loves to nap on as high a perch as she can find. She likes to be pet but not all the time. If she's not into affection at that moment, she'll just walk away. No hard feelings. She is very food motivated and she will tell you she wants her breakfast in the quietest little meow. Do we even have to mention those cheeks? Swoon. Fiona is good with other cats. She snuggles and plays nicely with those who want to engage with her and respects the boundaries of more solitary cats. She is litter box trained and uses them consistently.
