Rescued at just 3 months old from a feral colony in a Hayward motel parking lot, Lyra showed early signs of tameness that convinced her trappers to give her a shot at a loving home. Now blossoming into a young cat, Lyra is ready to find a patient, understanding, and caring family to help her thrive. Lyra is a bit shy at first, but with a calm and steady approach, she opens up beautifully, revealing her sweet and playful personality. She feels most secure in a home with other neutral cats, who help her feel safe and confident. Once comfortable, Lyra’s bursts of energy are a joy to witness—she can zoom around for hours, especially when chasing her favorite cheetah feather wand or pouncing on fuzzy mice toys.
