It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. SERGEANT STEVENS and his 3 brothers (SERGEANT JEFFREY " JACK " MUMFORD, SERGEANT BECKER and DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS) were found by the side of a freeway. Our trapper friend could not find a rescue. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT STEVENS is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted. Meet SERGEANT STEVENS, a kitten with a personality as large as his name suggests. This sweet soul is a blend of bravery and shyness, often seen embarking on playful adventures around the rescue, yet still appreciating his quiet moments. His curiosity is endless, always eager to explore new toys or corners. SERGEANT STEVENS's mellow demeanor is balanced by his goofy antics that never fail to bring laughter. His intelligence shines through his independent spirit, yet he's always ready to tumble with one of his kitten friends. SERGEANT STEVENS, with his unique blend of qualities, is waiting to bring joy, laughter, and companionship to his forever home. SERGEANT STEVENS is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX . He is about 5 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs. SERGEANT STEVENS is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** MARCH 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability. >>>>>>>>>>>> If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. <<<<<<<<<<<< The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue or any PETSMART near you! The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************ PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
