PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU RESPOND. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. JUAN CARLOS and 12 other relatives of his were all dumped at a church in Whittier, California. These poor babies were left in the sun in a total of two carriers in front of a church. Needless to say, the rescue mama set course that day to pick them up. It took us 2 days to get them all to the rescue and to foster care. So JUAN CARLOS (named after the show: WYNONNA EARP) we believe was kept very well by whomever abandoned them. With all the tragedy that has happened to this young boy and his family, he deserves to have a wonderful home. He is now been living a nice pampered life. JUAN CARLOS is a shy but sweet boy. You can see in his sweet little face, he is has the look of wanting love. But he also looks like he might be a bit sassy. He is quite and plays with his family. He really loves to play with toys and actually likes to play fetch. He loves his can food, He needs a real family that will love him like their own family member. JUAN CARLOS is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU-TABBY MIX. He is about 10 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children or dogs. But he does seem very curious about dogs. JUAN CARLOS is currently at a foster home in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ******************************* NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS ****************************** DECEMBER 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability. The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue or any PETSMART near you! The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************ PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
