Male Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier

American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Banjo is a 2.5 month old pit mix who was owner surrendered on Christmas Eve for being a puppy! He was barking at people and biting, so here he is! He is very eager to please and is learning some basic manners quickly, he just needs consistency! He is doing well with sit, and learning not to jump and will do just about everything you ask of him (with guidance) as long as you have some good treats for when he does them. He is a lifelong commitment and will need to be potty trained, taught basic obedience, and socialized. The best time to do this is when they are a puppy so they can grow up to be well behaved, and rounded individuals. He loves food, chasing his tail and doesn't mind playing with some balls small enough to fit into his mouth. He has the cutest ears, the cutest coat color and some beautiful brown eyes that will melt your heart! He has a big dog bark and growl already, and demands attention (or food) with those noises. He has had age appropriate vaccines, but is not yet neutered. A $50 neuter deposit is required at time of adoption, and will be refunded (and fully paid for by us if brought to Grantsburg Animal Hospital within 6 months) when he is neutered. If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
