Has lived in a home with young children Has done well with another dog at the shelter No known experience with cats Onyx is a fun-loving dog bursting with puppy energy and enthusiasm for life. He has lived with young kids and done well, showing a playful and gentle side in a family environment. At the shelter, he has also gotten along nicely with another dog, especially when enjoying time outside “roughhousing” together in the yard. Onyx loves going for walks, exploring the world around him, and showing off his sitting skills when asked. He’s very treat-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training both rewarding and enjoyable with him. The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
