Please contact Pet ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. Here’s Herbert! Aka Herbie Bananas. Herbert was found wondering the streets with a peanut jar stuck on his head. Thankfully someone found him and took him to the shelter for safety. His family never did come to claim him. Herbie was probably on the streets for a while. He was very dirty, stinky and skinny. Mr. Bananas is an older gentleman. He has typical old guy issues. He has a heart murmur that does not currently require meds. Herbie also has some arthritis in his hind legs and takes an otc med that works great. Herbert can be playful, but he mostly likes to be a lap dog. He loves food, treats, naps, and most definitely peanut butter. He does good with the other animals in his foster home, but would also be ok being an only child. Herbert is a Chihuahua mix around 7 lbs. and is house-trained, but will also use pads. He has been vaccinated, wormed, neutered and will be microchipped. We did bloodwork, which was good. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00, Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00, Includes spay or neuter, vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet. We do not fly or use transport companies. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens. Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough. If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done. All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet. All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7. The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family. You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval. This will enable us to accept another pet into that home. Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered.
