Female Dog,

Unknown Breed

Description:

IN NEED OF LOCAL FOSTER OR ADOPTER / AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT Meet Zara! More pictures and video below or to come! https://youtu.be/Ozf7_cgUO7k and https://youtu.be/I3WAWzlax0A Zara is 7 years old, female (approx. DOB tbd), 50 lbs., vetted, and is or will be spayed! Zara broke our hearts when we found her in the shelter! Zara and her BFF (adopted in NC) were once in a loving home, where things turned very difficult, and they could no longer care for themselves and were admitted to a care facility; Zara and her BFF were admitted to the shelter, where she ran out of time. Zara is lower-energy, great with other dogs, likely good with cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), and needs a loving, calm, safe place to land. Her current caretaker says she is a good girl with lower energy, appears potty trained, and is crate trained. She's lost her home, her human, and her best friend..........who can fill her heart back up?? Stay tuned for more information as Zara is a new rescue! If you are interested in adopting Zara, please fill out an Application at www.Passion-4-Paws.org (please make sure you have the Vermont site, not CT) - thanks! Please note that fosters have 1st option for adoption. Check out her Facebook Profile and like us while you are there! Disclosure: Breed labels are often incorrect: we rarely know the genetic lineage of the dogs we rescue. Many shelters and rescues specify breeds based on appearance; however, research has shown that less than 2% of a dog’s DNA determines appearance! Passion 4 Paws does not practice the use of labels pertaining to compatibility with others or dog breed. Labels such as “dog friendly” and “child friendly” should be used with caution as they often over-simplify the personalities and behavior of dogs.
