Female Dog, Maltese

Maltese / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Roxie was only 6 weeks old when a senior lady chose her from a litter of puppies. She was a very smart, alert and affectionate puppy and got along well with the lady's older dog. Roxie quickly learned to use an indoor potty pad. She loved to run and play in the lady's big, fenced backyard, and she liked to fetch toys that were thrown. Roxie loved attention and was a great little watch dog. After a couple of years, the senior lady moved into an apartment and began to have some health problems that required her to have surgery. There was no longer a backyard, for energetic Roxie to run and play in. She had to be walked on a leash. The senior lady soon realized this was not the best life for Roxie and asked Emmy's Hope Rescue to find her a new home. Roxie will need a family familiar with and accepting of high energy dogs. She led a sheltered life with only one other dog and not many human visitors. She has a difficult time getting along with other dogs at the Rescue, sometimes being aggressive. Therefore, we recommend that Roxie should probably be an only dog. Estimated birth date: October 2019 Approximate weight: 20 lbs. If you would like to meet Roxie, please call or text Stephanie at: 281-622- 6549. *** ADOPTION CRITERIA *** To qualify to adopt from Emmy's Hope Rescue, YOU MUST HAVE ALL 4 QUALIFIERS: 1.
